Bossall-Flaxton Hoard

The treasure was discovered in 1807 near the border between Bosal and Flaxton parishes. It consisted of a coin, bullion, and a ring in a lead casket.

There were c. 270 Anglo-Saxon and Anglo-Viking coins. There was at least one Athelstan coin and several Edward the Elder coins, but most were Anglo-Viking coins, most of which belonged to the St. Peter series.
