The treasure comprises four silver spoons, two pieces of a silver goblet, and a silver bell salt. All of these items were discovered in 2008, just a short distance away from Stoway Court in Somerset, which locals believe was an active location during the English Civil War (1642-1651). The silverware bears hallmarks and dates back to the early 1600s, featuring the initials "CGA," which could potentially suggest a connection to one of Stoway Court's inhabitants, Charles Angell Gray. It is speculated that the treasure was buried during a crisis that occurred during the war, but unfortunately for its owner, it was never recovered. Today, this historically significant treasure is housed in the Somerset Museum.
