Rozel Hoard (1820)

In 1820, a rockfall incident led to the unearthing of a hoard of 920 billon coins, believed to be located in the vicinity of Catel de Roselle, possibly in the same region as other known Roselle hoards. The entirety of this hoard was acquired by the esteemed German antiquarian Baron Donop, who subsequently featured it in two articles. These articles can be found in the "Hannoversche Numismatische Zeitschrift," with the first publication in 1835 and the second in 1839.

The latter article, published in 1839, contains detailed illustrations of 754 billon coins along with two quarters of Corisolita's billon coins. Additionally, four Unelli silver coins are also documented within this hoard.
