Fimafeng is a character in Norse mythology who serves as a servant of Aegir. His name, Fimafeng, means "quick service" or "handy service." In the Lokasenna, a significant event takes place during a feast hosted by Aegir for the Aesir: Loki kills Fimafeng. This violent act leads to the expulsion of Loki from the party by the Norse gods. Despite being driven away, Loki later returns to the gathering and engages in a series of elaborate insults and verbal confrontations with the gods, a poetic exchange known as "flyting." This sequence of events marks a pivotal moment in the Lokasenna, where Loki's disruptive and provocative behavior incites conflict and tension among the deities.
