Butterfly House (Sweden)

House of butterflies Nature Museum is located in the Hagaparken garden in Solna . It was founded in 1989 and has about 350,000 visitors every year.

The house of butterflies is a tropical forest with water systems, which has a large number of different fish from the Amazon and up to 1000 free flying butterflies.

The house of butterflies covers over 5000 m². The tropical environment is kept at a temperature that never drops below 25 degrees during the day, and even at night it is at least 25 degrees. Several thousand butterflies live here during the year.

There is also Ocean Haga, a 30 metre aquarium with 1.2 million litres of water. Here you will find Blackfin reef shark, high fin reef shark, rays and reef fish, permanent exhibition on coral reefs and various marine environments. Frogs and turtles are also on display.

In 2019, the Butterfly House is building several butterfly beds on its land to help pollinators in urban areas.
