Tiveden National Park

Tiwen National Park is a national park located in the Tiwen Forest in the municipalities of Laxo (Örebro County) and Karlsborg (Vestra Götaland County), in the historic province of Westergötaland in Sweden. It is managed by Naturvårdsverket and Örebro County, although part of its territory is located in Västra Götaland County. It consists of a wild forest in rough terrain. The National Park was established in 1983 and originally covered 1350 hectares (3300 acres). After its expansion in 2017, it now covers 2,030 hectares (5,000 acres).

In the early Middle Ages, the Tiwen Forest was a hiding place for criminals who took refuge there.
