Weston-sub-Edge Hoard

The discovery of this significant Civil War hoard is a remarkable historical find. Comprising 307 silver and 2 gold coins, it was unearthed beneath the floor of a former barn in Weston sub Edge in 1981. The coins were cleverly concealed within a specially crafted lead pipe and were accompanied by a small piece of paper indicating a value of '£18' for the hoard.
