Arm-ring

This armband, originating from the Viking culture during the period of 876-950, is a remarkable example of craftsmanship. It is crafted using a weaving and binding technique with four gold rods intricately woven together. These rods have a circular cross-section that tapers towards the ends. At the terminus of each rod, they are bound with gold wire and reduced to a simple biconical knob. However, it's worth noting that one end of the armband has split apart at this point, possibly due to wear and tear over time.

While the surface of the armband is worn, it still retains some evidence of serrations, although the level of detail cannot be accurately counted due to the extent of wear and age. This artifact offers a glimpse into the artistic and metallurgical skills of the Vikings during this historical period, showcasing their ability to create intricate and durable pieces of jewelry.
